Start with the schema

{"name":"read_schema","arguments":{}}
{"name":"read_schema","arguments":{"kind":"item","verb":"read"}}

Read the returned schema before constructing a body. GET request members become query values; writing routes take their own body shape. A field is addressed by declaration id. Names, ids and choice option ids are different values.

Reading tools

read_schema

What this seat can reach: every record kind and verb the door serves, with its method and path. Pass kind to list one kind; pass kind and verb for one route with the JSON Schema of its request and its response, as the door publishes them. A GET's request members become the query, a POST's the JSON body.

kind?verb?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

read_record

Read through one of the door's reading routes: kind and verb name the route (read_schema lists them), body carries its query members. A writing verb is refused; a door refusal is answered in the door's own words.

kindverb body?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

read

Read what was said somewhere, newest page first; reading never marks anything read. mode place: a channel, topic wall or DM by where (id, chat_id, name, tag or handle). mode thread: the replies under a root post. mode topic: a topic wall with what is pinned there, by item, and below for its subtopics too. mode tag: the posts carrying a tag; a post on a topic wall does not carry the topic tag, so a topic is read with mode topic. mode activity: what changed across everything this seat is in since a cursor, one line per change, held for this session only; every other tool ends its answer with the same lines. Modes place, thread, topic and tag page 50 records unless pageSize says otherwise; resume only from a returned next cursor. Mode activity takes since alone and answers every change after it.

mode where?root?item?below?tag?since?cursor?pageSize?newest?anchor?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

find

Look up people, admitted places, projects, the topic tree, tags or who is present. people searches the roster; places pages conversations; projects reads the root and its direct children; topics walks every item kind and depth under a path or ID. name filters the returned page (people searches the whole roster); keep paging when a cursor remains. tags with name resolves one tag; with under lists tags there; with under and field lists values used by that tags field; with neither pages workspace tags. present reads live presence. No conversation is created and no message is acknowledged.

mode name?under?field?depth?cursor?pageSize?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

topic

Resolve one path to its item: the topic, its wall, and where it moved to if the path is an old one.

path

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

queue

What there is to do below an item, bucketed by one single-choice field, with `next` named: the first open task in queue order. One door read; the field defaults to the Status axis.

item?field?pageSize?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

item

Read an item. read: One item and its standing values: the record, then every field's value on it. values: Every field value an item holds. records: Read the mixed records attached to any item: posts, files, notes, canvases, huddles and events. Includes descendants by default, deduplicates records, and shows their permitted placements. Source permissions still apply. Reuse a cursor only with the same item and descendants setting. archived: The archived children of an item. post: One post, with where it sits. milestones: Read every milestone date change, old to new. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

mode id?item?descendants?cursor?pageSize?parent?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

Tools with writing modes

write_record

Write through one of the door's writing routes: kind and verb name the route (read_schema lists them), body is the JSON request the door takes there. A reading verb is refused; a door refusal is answered in the door's own words.

kindverb body?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

send

Say something somewhere: in a channel, on a topic, or to a person. where takes a place id, a notification chat_id, a channel or topic name, a tag, a handle, or person: followed by a registry id; the last two message that person directly. mentions take handles or ids and wake the seats named; the text is never parsed for @words. A notification's chat_id may be passed whole: a leading "place:" or "dm:" is taken off. thread replies under a root post in that place, so the reply stays with its subject; pins attach the post to items; files reference uploads by id. urgent pushes past the recipient's inbox rule, sparingly.

wheretext thread?title?pins?files?voice?mentions?urgent?submission?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

inbox

What is waiting for this seat. mode new: the unread counts per item (topic) this seat holds, item-id order, and the project notifications after a sequence, oldest first; both in one answer; reading marks nothing. mode mark: this seat has read one item through a placement (item with at and pin, as every post row carries), or has attended to project notifications through a sequence (through); one or the other. mode settings: the attention table that routes chat arrivals for this seat, direct or inbox, per sender and by default; project and huddle notifications bypass it. mode thread reads your reply-notification preference and participation for root; mute and unmute change only your own automatic thread notifications. Explicit mentions still reach you. Pages 50 records unless pageSize says otherwise; resume unread only from a returned next cursor and notifications from the last seq while has_more.

mode before?root?cursor?after?pageSize?item?at?pin?through?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

place

Make somewhere to talk. mode channel: a channel by name. mode topic: a topic on the tree by name, under parent (an item id) or at the root when parent is absent. mode elevate: a tag becomes a topic, keeping the posts that carried it, under parent or at the root. Each answers the place made, with its id.

mode name?parent?tag?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

me

How this seat is shown and heard. mode read: this seat's own profile, or another participant's by registry id: avatar, voice, the voices on offer, and whether this seat may edit it. mode set: this seat's own avatar (an upload id) and voice (a name from the voices on offer), each only when given; the door refuses a seat editing anyone else.

mode participant?avatar?voice?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

seat

The AI seats of this door. mode list: every seat with its liveness, open sessions and enrolment, retired ones marked. mode provision: certify and found a seat by handle for the responsible person's lysAgentId, with a device label or the door host name; answers where its seat file was written (the seat-file the screen downloads, written to disk here when the door could not) and the launcher block to paste, never the key. mode retire: retire a seat by handle and revoke its sessions. mode invite: mint an invitation link for a person.

mode handle?device?lysAgentId?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

calendar

The calendar. mode read: the event on an item, with its recurrence lines and exceptions. mode make: write the event on an item once, create-once: start, end, recurrence lines; the door refuses an item that already carries one. mode exception: cancel one occurrence, or move it to a new start. mode window: every entry between two instants for the kinds asked. Every instant is RFC 9557 with a bracketed IANA zone, as 2026-09-24T09:00:00+10:00[Australia/Melbourne]. mode selection: which places and kinds the calendar shows this seat; read with no arguments, set with places and kinds, or clear. mode upcoming: the signed-in person’s Google calendar.

mode item?start?end?recurrence?original?action?from?to?kinds?places?clear?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

project

Set up a project: board layout and card faces, fields and choice options, workflow connections, rules, and saved views. Choose mode and action first; each argument states the actions that use it and whether it is required. Reads return complete records. declare creates, edit changes, retire ends use without deleting history. Templates are not available yet. Every action validates before calling the door, whose permissions and refusals remain in force.

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

item_create

Create an item below a parent: a project, a task, a topic or a milestone (a milestone needs due).

parentkindname due?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

item_update

Change one thing about an item per call; each change is the door’s own act. name: Rename an item. parent: Move an item below another item. values: Set one field's value on an item. A choice value is the option id; the door refuses a value the field does not take. clear: Clear one field value from an item. due: Set a milestone's due date. archive: Archive an item; restore brings it back. restore: Restore an archived item. board_add: Show the item on a second project board without changing its parent. board_remove: Remove the second-board membership, preserving the item and its parent. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

mode id?name?parent?item?field?value?due?project?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

item_delete

Delete an item. Destructive and never undone by this tool: archive (item_update mode archive) keeps it recoverable. confirm must repeat the item id.

idconfirm

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

run

A task's automated run. start dispatches an item through a workflow connection (mapping optionally binds its inputs); read answers the item's automation wall, every run and how it went; take_back reclaims a run so it is finished by hand. automation records outcomes already observed; it does not execute actions. Its rule/triggerDomain/triggerSeq identify a fire; repeats are refused by the door. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

modeitem actions?rule?triggerDomain?triggerSeq?connection?mapping?brief?submissionId?run?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

task

Work a task. read answers its state (open, taken and by whom, done or dropped with the reason) and its history; open makes it work anyone can take; take makes this seat its holder; done marks a task this seat holds as done; drop gives it up with a reason. This seat is the actor. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

modeitem reason?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

pin

Pin records to items. attach puts a record on any item at any depth (kind and id for a note, canvas board, huddle, file, Drive file (drive_file), event, post or thread; post alone for a post); this organises it and grants no access. decide marks a post as a decision taken on an item, explicitly. list answers the pins and decisions on an item, or with post the items a post is pinned to. remove takes a pin off by its pin id, or a decision off by item and post. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

mode item?kind?id?post?pin?pageSize?cursor?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

watch

Follow an item and everything below it, so what happens there reaches this seat. on starts following an item; off stops; list names every item this seat follows. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

mode item?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

canvas

Work on a conversation canvas. Choose mode: boards lists boards; new creates or forks; read lists shapes or changes since a head; look renders a picture with grid and legend; draw adds, edits or erases shapes; point is temporary; mark leaves a durable note. Each mode accepts only its own arguments. where is a place ID, chat ID or unambiguous name.

modewhere name?from?at?board?since?region?width?light?marks?shapes?erase?element?words?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

note

Notes in a place: long text with versions, kept beside the conversation. list: The notes of a conversation, one line each: id, title, head version, who last saved it and when, and what it was forked from. A note id is what note mode read and note mode write take as note. read: Read a note: its title, head version and live sequence on the first line, then its text whole. The live sequence is what note mode edit takes as base_seq, so a seat can edit part of the note straight after reading it. Pass at to read the text as it stood at that version instead. write: Save the whole text of a note as its next version. expected is the head version this seat last read; a save behind a newer head is refused naming both versions, so read again and merge. new: Start a note on a conversation: empty, or a fork of a note as it stands (the fork continues from the base’s version). Answers the new note’s id. edit: Edit part of a note's live text, leaving the rest alone: at pos, remove delete_len units and put insert there. base_seq is the live sequence this seat last read (note mode read answers it); the door carries the edit over anything admitted since, so an edit never overwrites somebody else's typing. Positions and lengths count UTF-16 code units from the start of the text, not lines, bytes or characters. Use this rather than note mode write whenever the change is to part of a note. Answers what the edit became, the live sequence to edit from next, and the whole live text as it now reads, so no read follows an edit. changes: The live operations made on a note after a sequence, in order, a page at a time: what was typed since a read. presence: Say where this seat's caret is in a note: pushed to every reader, written nowhere. anchor and head are character offsets, equal for a caret, different for a selection. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

mode stream?note?at?expected?text?title?from?base_seq?pos?delete_len?insert?after?pageSize?seq?anchor?head?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

huddle

Choose list for a place’s huddles, reachable for a page of live huddles across every place you may read (cursor continues), departure to end your attendance with a reason, read for the whole spoken transcript, versions for a bounded record page, waiting for your own pending sequences and FIFO positions, say to await speech or its named refusal, join or leave for standing, invite to ask someone to join, check to record attention, recording to attach a file. release, settings and microphone reach existing controls; the door currently restricts those three to a standing person and returns that refusal to agents. Joining records standing but does not dial an audio connection. Each mode accepts only its own arguments.

mode where?huddle?cursor?pageSize?reason?submission_id?text?delivery?participant?recording?after?seq?release?microphone?pressed?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

file

A file, as the composer and file cards handle one. send uploads a readable local file and answers the stored record, whose id send's files and me's avatar take; record reads a stored file's record by id; drive answers one page of the signed-in person's Google Drive metadata, searched with q, under parent, from pageToken or in view; content reads one Drive file's words, up to a megabyte. The stored bytes are read with read_record GET /upload/{id}. Each mode takes only its own arguments.

mode path?name?contentType?id?q?parent?pageToken?view?file?exportMime?

A tool listing grants no authority; mode-specific requirements and route admission still apply.

Several tools mix reads and changes. Select the mode deliberately and follow its description; a required argument can become conditional on that mode. The server’s current input schema is the exact source for enums and shapes.

Admission and evidence

Tool discovery describes the interface. A workspace read still requires the caller’s workspace grant; a roster refusal names that missing action.
