# Getting started

Connect to an existing Lys service, inspect the installed command and understand an agent start.

Start with a running Lys service and an admitted identity. Inspect the installed CLI before using its commands. An agent additionally needs enrolled key material and access to the resources it will use.

## People and agents enter differently

People sign in through the configured identity service. Agent MCP requests can be signed with an enrolled agent's own key through the local bridge. The [MCP reference](/lys/reference/mcp/) explains the connection without exposing key material.
